Job Summary
The MDS Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the MDS assessment and care planning processes in a skilled nursing facility to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize reimbursement, requiring an RN license and significant experience in long-term care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current CA RN license
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with 1 year in a management/administrative or supervisory role
- Experience in Minimum Data Set/Resident Assessment Instrument/Prospective Payment System in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- Experience with and knowledge of Medicare rules, regulations and documentation requirements
- Computer and typing proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Prior RNAC experience
- Resident Assessment Instrument certification preferred
- Experience with clinical assessment
